This week, we have another of our Creativists’ interviews with Raj Bery, a retired chemical engineer, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a global citizen, and a long-ago immigrant from India.
Rajendra “Raj” Bery is a retired Chemical Engineer originally from Calcutta, India. He came to the USA in 1948 and earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri. Later, he earned a Master’s in Chemical Engineering as well as a Master’s in Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Prior to his retirement, he worked for 36 years with the firm Foster Wheeler International. He and his late wife Marjorie were married for over 65 years. Originally from a farm in upstate New York, Marjorie attended a one-room schoolhouse and was the first in her family to graduate from college. She was a research librarian for Citibank and a beloved, innovative preschool teacher at Far Brook School in Short Hills, New Jersey. Raj and Marjorie and their two children were true global citizens, living in India, Brazil, Italy, and, of course, the USA.
