We at Creativists in Dialogue are pleased to announce our upcoming season, Creativity and Difference, launching in early 2025.
Creativity does not happen in a vacuum. It loses its vitality in a bubble. It requires encounters with different people, places, and things.
In Season 4 of Creativists in Dialogue we’ll examine that fierce dynamic, interviewing people across a spectrum of activities. They will share with you their encounter with difference.
Also, Elizabeth and Michael will share their personal encounters with difference, tapping into more than 40 years of experience in DC’s rich people-scape.
A transcript of this short podcast announcement is below.
Elizabeth: [00:00:00] Greetings from a chilly day in November 2024 in Washington, D. C. Thank you all for your continued support and for your patience as we get mobilized for a new season of dynamic conversations. We're delighted to share the happy news that our podcast has again received funding for the upcoming year from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
We'll be launching a new series entitled Creativity and Difference. Look for new interviews in early 2025. In this new initiative, we'll interview individuals who have engaged in dialogue with people whose perspectives are different from their own, and from that engagement, have created new approaches, new expressions, ideas, policies, etc.
We'll also partner with several guest co-hosts with special insights into the dynamics of creativity and difference. This series will also [00:01:00] feature discussions between Michael and Elizabeth about various aspects of this dynamic as we have experienced them in our 50 years of creative endeavors.
So stay tuned for more information about upcoming interviewees, guest co-hosts, and topics of discussion. As always, our many audio interviews are available both free of charge and via paid subscriptions—much appreciated—on both creativists.substack.com and at creativists in dialogue on Spotify.
Continued thanks to all our subscribers, to the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities for ongoing support, to Humanities DC for previous support, and to our small but mighty team of Elliott Lanes and Morgan Musselman who join Michael and Elizabeth in making our Creativists in Dialogue podcast possible.
Until we launch the new series, we'll [00:02:00] be reposting some of our greatest hits, beginning right before Thanksgiving. Reach out to us at creativistsindialogue@gmail.com. Thanks.
