Today, we are proud to present Part 2 our conversation with BB Otero, the Founder of CentroNía.
CentroNia is a nationally recognized child and family services organization serving over 1, 200 children and their families. As part of this work, BB developed D.C. Bilingual Public Charter School and multiple child development sites throughout the Washington region. BB currently serves as Special Assistant to Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, providing strategy, advice, and direction on a broad range of health and human service issues.
She previously served as Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services for the Government of the District of Columbia. As President of Otero Strategy Group—an innovative consulting practice integrating education, health, human services, and community development supports—she focuses on socially responsible policy and practice. She advises nonprofits, philanthropy, and local governments in strategic planning, policy development, and funding strategies.
